Knowledge of obscure game mechanics makes them even more effective, such as stalling an Arsonist from igniting by switching their target for the night. In order for their switching ability to be helpful, they have to have a pretty good idea who's most likely to be targeted by the bad guys and who not to interfere with. Difficult, but Awesome: The Transporter.Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: A revealed Mayor can lynch anyone in a one-on-one situation, including Juggernauts, Werewolves and Pestilence itself.Bodyguard Betrayal: When a Bodyguard is Town Traitor and sides with the Mafia, protecting evil roles over good roles.Initially they could fully resurrect a dead town member, but ultimately it was considered too powerful and unfair, especially in extremely competitive Ranked matches, so the role was Nerfed. They typically tend to revive a town protective role to use on themselves. Back from the Dead: The Retributionist can temporarily revive each dead town member once and use their abilities.I’ve won 2 games as an AFK executioner so this works ok.The Townies are made up of: Bodyguard, Crusader, Doctor, Escort, Investigator, Jailor, Lookout, Mayor, Medium, Psychic, Retributionist, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Transporter, Trapper, Vampire Hunter, Veteran, and Vigilante. The AFK Strategy- If you are AFK half the time(Like me) continue to be afk and you might win.If you are lucky they will lynch that person first and by then you would have won. The consigliere strategy- If you really want to finish the game quickly you can say that you are consigliere and that your target is a werewolf or arsonist. You tell the town that he whispered in turkish or that he insulted the great Harambe. Saying that they whispered racist things to you- If there is no spy in the game or you just want to risk it, this strategy is for you.

Some people don’t care if they win or lose and just want to have fun. For example if they whisper to someone and no one is whispering in that game you could accuse them of being mafia. Try to make everything they do sound suspicious. “The Lucky Strategy”- Sometimes you are just lucky and your target acts suspicious. It only helps you when the quiet person suddenly starts talking because then that makes them seem even more suspicious. “The Quiet Strategy”- If your target hasn’t said much during the game you could say that they are suspicious and get them lynched. They might think you are a jester and spare you, but if you become a jester you will still be under suspicion which can help you win as a jester. “The Jester strategy”-If the town thinks you are executioner say something like “Ok I admit it, I’m executioner”.You shouldn’t claim invest until the time is right because if a real investigator investigates them you will get lynched. “The Investigator strategy”- If you are executioner and have gained the trust of the town, claiming investigator and saying you know that they are Framer, Vampire, or Jester to get them lynched. There are a few ways to play Executioner. Some people like me love playing executioner, while others groan at having one of the toughest roles to play. They may break down if you play All Any or Rainbow. And since Executioner is a role that you can definitely either play casually or to win, this guide will cover things you can do for both cases.Īlso, before we start, note that these strategies are geared towards the “normal” game modes (Classic, Ranked Practice, and Ranked). This guide will cover, in detail, many different strategies, tips, and tricks to playing Executioner.

This is the first in a series of strategy guides on how to play each role in Town of Salem (for anyone who hasn’t played, there’s more about the game here ).
